2024-2025 Disposal Calendar, Information Released

The 2024-2025 DPW disposal calendar is now available. You can find the full calendar below, along with other important information.

Trash and recyclables must be placed curbside no later than 7 a.m. and no earlier than 5 p.m. on the previous day.

If your trash was missed or to request a curbside bulky item pickup, call Capitol Waste Services 1-855-533-3400. To lease additional trash or
recycle containers, or to request a repair of your barrel, contact the DPW at 781-586-8015. Do not place any of the following in your trash: non-empty aerosol cans, appliances, automotive batteries, chemical containers, construction debris, leaf and yard waste, flat-screen TVs or CRT monitors. Home compost bins are available at the DPW for $50.

Helpful hints

  • For containers to be recycled, please rinse, and remove corks, rings and wraps and flatten all cardboard.
  • Trash overflow bags (purple) vendor list available at lynnma.gov.
  • Items for waste collection or donations for pick-up cannot be placed upon the ground.
  • Street sweeping from late October to December and late April to May. Check lynnma.gov for schedule.
  • Needles must be in a rigid container. Return to City Hall, 1st floor. No loose needles.
  • For furniture to be picked up curbside by Captiol, the cost will be $20 per item. Residents must call Capitol at 1-855-533-3400.
  • To report an issue directly to the DPW, please use the SeeClickFix app.

Information on mattress and textile disposal

With a statewide ban on disposal of mattresses in effect, the DPW has contracted with Tough Stuff Recycling, which offers curbside pick-up of
mattresses and box springs for a fee. Residents must reserve the pick-up directly through Tough Stuff at order.toughstuffrecycling.com or 978-
307-4118. The DPW also accepts mattresses for a fee at 250 Commercial St., Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 to noon. For curbside textile recycling, go to helpsy.com/lynnma to schedule.

The DPW office is located at 250 Commercial St. and is open:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am – 4 pm
  • Tuesday from 8:30 am – 8 pm
  • Friday from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
