Opening reception & fundraiser | Pink

The Galleries at LynnArts (GALA) is delighted to announce “PINK,” a captivating showcase celebrating the myriad shades and meanings of this iconic color. The opening reception, scheduled for May 18th, promises to be an evening filled with art, culture, and community spirit, all in support of GALA’s mission of supporting the whole artist in all of us, from amateurs to professionals.
“PINK” is not just a color; it’s a universe of emotions, aesthetics, and cultural symbolism. From soft pastels to bold magentas, from delicate blossoms to vivid sunsets, pink transcends mere pigment to embody a spectrum of meanings. This exhibition is a celebration of creativity, diversity, the power of art to evoke emotions and spark conversations by inviting artists to explore the depths of pink, offering a platform for both literal representations and abstract interpretations.
The opening reception will serve as a fundraiser for GALA, with all proceeds directly supporting its ongoing programs and initiatives. GALA is a 100% volunteer driven organization that relies upon donations and fundraising to continually provide mentoring in the Business of Art, Grant Writing, weekly drawing groups, a welcoming space for poets and musicians to perform, walls for artists of all skill levels to show their works and a safe space in the Lynn community.
