National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month Celebrations
2024 Hispanic Heritage Month Flag Raising and Procession
October 1 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm EDT
Join the City of Lynn for a Hispanic Heritage Month Flag Raising and Procession with flags that represent the Hispanic/Latino diaspora in Lynn!
The parade will begin at the City Hall front steps, go around the Lynn Common, and end at the City Hall front steps for a brief speaking program and flag raising. Small flags will also be provided to participants.
This year, our keynote speaker will be Lynn native Cristela Guerra of WBUR, who was recently recognized as one of the top 100 Latino leaders in the state by Amplify Latinx.
As part of the City’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, we are inviting community members to nominate leaders who they believe are worthy of recognition. These Hispanic/Latino individuals should have made a significant impact on the Lynn community. Selected nominees will be recognized at the flag raising event.

Acompañe a la Ciudad de Lynn en el Izamiento de Bandera y Procesión del Mes de la Herencia Hispana con banderas que representan la diáspora Hispana/Latina en Lynn.
El desfile comenzará en los escalones frontales del Ayuntamiento, rodeará Lynn Common y terminará en los escalones frontales del Ayuntamiento para un breve programa de conferencias e izamiento de bandera. También se entregarán banderas pequeñas a los participantes.
Este año, nuestra oradora principal será Cristela Guerra de WBUR, nativa de Lynn, quien acaba de ser reconocida como una de las 100 principales líderes latinas del estado por Amplify Latinx. ¡Lea más sobre ella a continuación!
Como parte de la Celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana de la Ciudad, también invitamos a los miembros de la comunidad a nominar líderes que consideren dignos de reconocimiento. Estos individuos hispanos/latinos deben haber tenido un impacto significativo en la comunidad de Lynn. Los nominados seleccionados serán reconocidos en el evento de izado de bandera.
