Critter Tales: African-American Folktales

February 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

This is a one woman show performed, written, and directed by Helen Patmon.  She has worked in the Performing Arts Dept. at Emerson College in Boston for over a decade.

This theatrical event features African American folktales as well as an original folktale created by the Helen Patmon.  She uses African textiles to represent costumes and African American music to create movement and atmosphere.  An African American doll exhibit with African artifacts accompany the performance.

The performance date is February 24 at 2:00 and 7:00, running time about an hour.  Admission is $10 and children under 12 are free.  Seniors are given a discount at the 2:00 performance.  This is a show for the young and the young at heart.  No registration needed.

A portion of the proceeds will go towards underwriting the free admission of children under 12 and providing seniors with free or reduced prices
