End of Summer Ride – Outdoor Installation

September 24, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Emmanuelle Le Gal is proud to present the second part of her new exhibit “Art Inspired by the new Lynn bike path.” Join Emmanuelle and the Bike to the Sea organization next Sunday, September 24th at Marsh View Park 10AM – 12PM (Boston St., Lynn MA) for this free outdoor event “End of Summer Ride – Outdoor Installation”. Emmanuelle  will have her artwork along The Northern Strand Community Trail in Lynn so you will have a chance to see her outdoor installation. She will be in attendance at the ride start location to speak about her project and artwork.

This free installation will consist of 18 paintings printed and placed along the bike path in Lynn. It will start where the trail crosses the Saugus/Lynn border at Marsh View Park. The trail passes through the marsh with scenic views of the water on both sides. Leaving the marsh, it passes through Barry Park (606 Boston St). Between Cottage and Spencer Streets, the bike path doubles as a neighborhood park with new playground equipment and raised community garden beds. After passing Market Basket, the outdoor exhibit will end at the Bennett Street Bridge. The subjects of the art pieces will vary from landscapes, wildlife and portraiture to capturing a diverse set of moments. This art outdoor installation will show how The Northern Strand Community Trail in Lynn is scenic, bringing people together and improving the quality of life in our city. Emmanuelle hopes this project will remind people how transformative public places can be.

Discover the sunset over the Saugus River:

“In the evening hours, the bike path provides a commute to a daily show: the sunset. There’s no better place than the salt marsh to view the spectacular changes in color both in the sky and the reflective water.”

Diversity Signs by Bennett Bridge:

“Surrounded in blue—like our world’s continents—various international welcome signs make the bike path an avenue of diversity. We may each have our own individual versions of the path, but this feature of the path invites you to reflect on how such a place is defined by a variety of cultures, experiences and perspectives.”

Details of the event can be found by clicking here

Details about the outdoor installation running until Oct. 15th can be found by clicking here.

Emmanuelle’s outdoor Installation will be up until October 15th. If you can’t make it on Sunday you will have plenty of time to see it later on.
