SUMMARY:Exhibit | Lynn PRIDE Gallery: Authentically YOU
DESCRIPTION:From United Lynn Pride: As part of Pride Month activities\, the Lynn Museum & Arts Center (LMAC) along with United Lynn Pride (ULP) have teamed up for their 6th annual Lynn PRIDE gallery show. This gallery show will run from June 26 through October 10 in the Museum building’s second-floor community gallery.\n\nAuthentically YOU is a gallery theme that celebrates the full spectrum of queer identity\, expression\, and becoming. The concept centers on self‑definition\, visibility\, and the courage it takes to live as your truest self in a world that often demands conformity. It invites artists and viewers alike to step into a space where queerness is not explained or defended — it is lived\, felt\, and honored.\nAn opening reception will be held as part of “Final Fridays: Pride Xtravaganza” on June 26 from 5-9pm\, more details TBA. \n\nCall for art\nLynn Museum hours:\nWednesday: 3-7 pm (Free Admission)\nThursday & Friday: 11 am – 4 pm\nSaturday: 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10am – 2pm (free admission)

SUMMARY:11th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration - “Proud of my heritage”
DESCRIPTION:From the HHM Committee:Let’s continue inspiring our young people to be proud of who they are and where they come from!\n\n\nThis beautiful celebration began in 2016 at Breed Middle School’s Lecture Hall\, with the support of our former Principal\, Mrs. Julie Louf\, now the Deputy Superintendent and Dr. olly Cohen\, Lynn Public Schools Superintendent. What began as a celebration at Breed has grown into a meaningful Lynn community tradition\, bringing together students\, families\, educators\, and community organizations to celebrate our heritage\, culture\, identity\, and contributions.\nFlag Parade:\n3:30pm at Lynn Common \nCeremony:\n4pm in the Lynn Auditorium\nGuest Speaker: Dr. Raul Zegarra\, Professor at Harvard University\n“Orgullo Hispano 2026” Award\nLatin-American Music\, dances and food!\n\nWHY DO WE CELEBRATE?\nBecause sometimes first- and second-generation Hispanic\, Asian\, African youth may feel ashamed of their language\, their ancestors\, or their heritage. We want to remind them that their heritage is not something to hide—it is something to be proud of! Identity is an important part of their self-esteem.\n\nAs immigrants and members of the community\, we have a responsibility to inspire our young people and help them recognize the incredible contributions of Immigrants (Hispanic\, Asian\, African\, etc.) throughout history and today.\n\n Our language is our strength.\n\n\n Our heritage is our identity.\n Our history is our inspiration.\n Our youth are our future.\n\n\n\nCome celebrate our heritage\, our contributions\, and our future!\n\n\n\n\n\nHHM Committee:\n\nSean Reid\, MA State Rep.\nCoco Alinsug\, Pdte.
