It is not a program or a service and is open to members with a Mass Health Behavioral Health insurance component. The key characteristics of the Wraparound process are that a plan is developed by a family -centered team\, is individualized based on the strengths and culture of the child and their family\, and is needs -based rather than service –driven. \n\n\n\n\nWhat Is The Systems Of Care Committee?\nCommunity Service Agency (CSA) and the Systems of Care Meeting (SOC) covers cities and towns in the Greater Lynn area: Lynn\, Lynnfield\, Nahant\, Saugus and Swampscott. \nThe Systems of Care Committee is intended to support the Community Service Agency’s efforts in their local geographic area to establish and sustain collaborative partnerships among families\, parent/family organizations\, traditional and non – traditional service providers\, community organizations\, state agencies\, faith – based groups\, local schools\, Mass Health and its contracted Managed Care Entities (MCEs)\, and other community stakeholders. The local Systems of Care Committee ensures that the Care Coordination of the Community Service Agency is in sync with other service delivery systems\, with state agency services\, and with informal helpers and community resources. \nThe Systems of Care Committee meets monthly to coordinate and integrate family voice into current community resources\, to identify additional supports\, and work together to offer a variety of choices to families without always having to recruit agency providers. At this time\, we have over 500 members in our SOC email group that is distributed via constant contact twice a month. Please email Kyra at kdrescher@jri.org if you would like to be added. \n\n\n\n\nWho Can Become A Member?\nMembership in the local Systems of Care Committee is open to the public and should include\, but is not limited to: \n\nParents/Caregivers\nGrandparents\nExtended Family Members\nTransitional Aged Youth (ages 14-20)\nCommunity Service Providers\nBusiness Community Representatives\nYouth and Recreation Personnel\nChild & Youth-Based Community Activity Providers\nFaith-based Organizations\nSchool Personnel\nCommunity Service Organizations\nParent/Professional Advocacy League Representative\nDepartment of Developmental Services\nDepartment of Public Health\nDepartment of Children and Families\nDepartment of Youth Services\nOrganizations interested in Providing Financial Resources through Grants/ Scholarships to Families in Need\nVolunteers in Child/Youth-based Activities and Organizations\n\nOur Vision\nWork towards the creation of a comprehensive spectrum of mental health and other necessary services which are organized into a coordinated network to meet the multiple and changing needs of children and their families. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe above information was submitted to us by Children’s Friend & Family Services\, a Division of Justice Resource Institute (JRI).

SUMMARY:Rent Control Ballot Campaign Kickoff Rally
DESCRIPTION:From Lynn United for Change: Lynn United for Change and ECCO (Essex County Community Organization) are joining together with a diverse coalition of local tenants\, homeowners\, community groups\, congregations\, and labor unions for a rally to launch the rent control ballot campaign. This is one of a series of launch events taking place across the state as part of the Keep Mass Home campaign. \nRent is too high! We’re getting pushed out of our own cities. Let’s limit rent increases to no more than 5% per year! \nECCO\, Lynn United for Change\, Mass Senior Action Council\, Neighbor to Neighbor\, 1199 SEIU\, New Lynn Coalition\, United Nations CDC (Lynn\, MA) and more… list in formation. \nAbout the Keep Mass Home campaign:\nWhether we rent or own—no matter where we live—everyone in Massachusetts should be able to afford a place to call home. But right now\, corporate real estate investors are driving up housing costs to increase their profits\, making it impossible for Massachusetts residents to make ends meet.\n\nUnder current state law\, there is no limit to the amount landlords can increase rents every year. Rents can double overnight.\n\n\nHigh rents displace workers and seniors from their communities\, force people to work multiple jobs just to pay the rent\, and make it impossible for young families to save money to achieve the dream of owning a home. \nBy coming together to put rent control on the ballot\, we can Keep Massachusetts Home for ALL of us. \nWe need basic protections against excessive rent hikes to keep people in their homes\, support working families\, and stabilize communities across Massachusetts. Modern rent stabilization is the immediate relief we need to protect people as we work to fully address our state’s housing crisis. \n\n\n\nThe Keep MA Home campaign to pass rent control in Massachusetts is made up of thousands of renters\, homeowners\, and neighbors\, along with dozens of grassroots housing justice groups\, labor unions\, and community and faith-based organizations throughout the state.\n\nAbout the rent stabilization policy we’re proposing:\n\n\nTogether\, we can support stable homes and strong communities for everyone in Massachusetts\n\nNo matter where we live or what’s in our wallets\, we all lose when our friends\, families and neighbors are pushed out of the places they call home. Designed with input from residents and experts across Massachusetts\, our modern rent stabilization policy would:\n\nLimit annual rent increases in Massachusetts to the cost of living with a cap at 5%. For an apartment that costs $2\,000 per month\, that means an annual increase in monthly rent of no more than $100/month\nThe limit on rent increases will continue to apply when new renters move in\, meaning rent cannot be drastically increased between tenants\nSupport small landlords\, not big corporations\, by exempting owner-occupied buildings with four or fewer units\nEncourage housing production and economic growth\, by applying rent limits to new construction only after a building’s first 10 years\n\nLearn more and join us at keepmasshome.com
