Avery is proud to announce the First Annual Ward 7 Family Fun Day\, a free community event designed to bring neighbors together\, strengthen community connections\, and provide a fun\, safe\, and welcoming day for families throughout Lynn. \nThe event will take place on Saturday\, July 18\, 2026\, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Barry Park\, with a rain date of Sunday\, July 19\, 2026. \nAs a newly elected City Councilor\, Avery said one of his priorities has been creating opportunities for residents to connect outside of City Hall. \n“When I was growing up\, neighbors knew neighbors. Kids played outside together\, families looked out for one another\, and there was a stronger sense of community\,” said Avery. “As a newly elected City Councilor\, I felt it was important to create an event that brings people together\, helps neighbors get to know one another again\, and provides a safe\, family-friendly day right here in Ward 7.
