DESCRIPTION:From the North Shore Juneteenth Association: The Black Excellence 5K is more than a race. It is a visible\, collective statement that representation matters — in our neighborhoods\, our organizations\, our institutions\, and our public spaces. Each year\, this event brings together community leaders\, families\, businesses\, and organizations to celebrate health\, unity\, and Black excellence across our community. \n100% of your registration will be used to fulfill the mission of the North Shore Juneteenth Association. \nMay 16\, 2026\nGrace United Methodist Church – 374 Broadway St.\nDay of registration begins at 9 am\, Race starts at 10 am \nREGISTER BY CLICKING HERE\n\nI would love for you to participate in one (or more!) of the following ways: \nSponsor the Black Excellence 5K\nView Sponsorship Letter \nSupport a community-centered event that directly funds year-round cultural celebrations and educational programming through the North Shore Juneteenth Association Inc. DESCRIPTION:From the Shoe City Series: Taking place in Lynn Woods at the Great Woods entrance\, this race thru Lynn Woods is challenging but is worth it. We always follow the race with many activities for the participants and public alike. \nPlease note: there will be a separate listing for the Family Fun Day. When that is submitted to us we will update this listing with a link. \n\nRace registration:\n$35 for those older than 18\n$20 for between ages 14-18\nFree for those under 14\nPlease click here to register\n____________________________\n\nThe Shoe City Series is a collection of four 5K races throughout the year. Each race is a different course in a different part of the city and a different time of the year. This is designed to give the participants a view of our entire city and to highlight some of its many beautiful features and areas.\n\nThe medals awarded for each of the races are meant to interlock\, creating a single big medal for those that participate in all 4.
