SUMMARY:Beyond Salem: The History and Legacy of the European Witch Trials
DESCRIPTION:From the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn: Most New Englanders are very familiar with the outbreak of the witch craze in 17th century Salem\, Massachusetts depicted in Arthur Miller’s play The Crucible\, but many have never heard of the Burning Times\, a period of roughly 150 years in Europe during which tens of thousands of victims\, mostly women and girls\, were tortured and executed for the imaginary crime of witchcraft. \nMarblehead Little Theatre and UUCGL invite you to join scholar and minister Victoria Weinstein for a lecture and conversation about the religious\, political and social context and outcomes of this terrible chapter in history. Trudi Olivetti\, the director of MLT’s October production of “The Crucible\,” will offer remarks. \nThe presentation will be in-person and livestreamed on Zoom. If you will be attending via Zoom\, please register in advance to obtain the livestream access link (after registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom). \nFREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER VIA ZOOM \nQuestions? The local Systems of Care Committee ensures that the Care Coordination of the Community Service Agency is in sync with other service delivery systems\, with state agency services\, and with informal helpers and community resources. \nThe Systems of Care Committee meets monthly to coordinate and integrate family voice into current community resources\, to identify additional supports\, and work together to offer a variety of choices to families without always having to recruit agency providers. SUMMARY:EmpowHER Night
DESCRIPTION:Centerboard invites you to EmpowHER Night\, a cocktail hour designed to Connect\, Educate and Empower.\nDedicated to raising awareness and support for We Rise—a transformative program that provides critical resources\, support\, and safe pathways for young women and men who have experienced or are at risk of sexual exploitation and trafficking. \nSet against the backdrop of Palette Function Room\, this impactful evening will feature handcrafted cocktails\, hors d’oeuvres\, live music\, a silent auction\, and powerful stories of resilience and hope. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with advocates\, survivors\, and community leaders who are shaping a future free from exploitation. \nAttire: Casual Cocktail \nDue to devastating federal funding cuts\, our program is facing a loss of nearly $300\,000\, a loss that directly impacts hundreds of young women across Essex County who rely on our life-changing services and support. All proceeds will directly support trauma-informed care\, education\, housing\, and mentorship services for the young people we serve. Your presence helps us turn compassion into action—and raise the volume on voices that too often go unheard. \n“Together\, we can change the narrative.”\nRSVP today and stand with us in solidarity and strength \n\nThe above information was submitted to us by Centerboard’s We Rise Program.

It is not a program or a service and is open to members with a Mass Health Behavioral Health insurance component. The key characteristics of the Wraparound process are that a plan is developed by a family -centered team\, is individualized based on the strengths and culture of the child and their family\, and is needs -based rather than service –driven. \n\n\n\n\nWhat Is The Systems Of Care Committee?\nCommunity Service Agency (CSA) and the Systems of Care Meeting (SOC) covers cities and towns in the Greater Lynn area: Lynn\, Lynnfield\, Nahant\, Saugus and Swampscott. \nThe Systems of Care Committee is intended to support the Community Service Agency’s efforts in their local geographic area to establish and sustain collaborative partnerships among families\, parent/family organizations\, traditional and non – traditional service providers\, community organizations\, state agencies\, faith – based groups\, local schools\, Mass Health and its contracted Managed Care Entities (MCEs)\, and other community stakeholders. At this time\, we have over 500 members in our SOC email group that is distributed via constant contact twice a month. Please email Kyra at kdrescher@jri.org if you would like to be added. \n\n\n\n\nWho Can Become A Member?\nMembership in the local Systems of Care Committee is open to the public and should include\, but is not limited to: \n\nParents/Caregivers\nGrandparents\nExtended Family Members\nTransitional Aged Youth (ages 14-20)\nCommunity Service Providers\nBusiness Community Representatives\nYouth and Recreation Personnel\nChild & Youth-Based Community Activity Providers\nFaith-based Organizations\nSchool Personnel\nCommunity Service Organizations\nParent/Professional Advocacy League Representative\nDepartment of Developmental Services\nDepartment of Public Health\nDepartment of Children and Families\nDepartment of Youth Services\nOrganizations interested in Providing Financial Resources through Grants/ Scholarships to Families in Need\nVolunteers in Child/Youth-based Activities and Organizations\n\nOur Vision\nWork towards the creation of a comprehensive spectrum of mental health and other necessary services which are organized into a coordinated network to meet the multiple and changing needs of children and their families. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe above information was submitted to us by Children’s Friend & Family Services\, a Division of Justice Resource Institute (JRI).
