DESCRIPTION:The YMCA is excited to announce the annual Healthy Kids Day\, set for Saturday\, April 26\, 2025 at the Demakes Family YMCA in Lynn. This free\, community-wide event aims to inspire children and families to stay active\, engaged\, and healthy throughout the summer months and beyond. \nHealthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. \nFor over 30 years\, YMCAs across the country have hosted free events designed to inspire kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active. \nThe YMCA will offer a variety of fun and educational activities designed to keep children moving\, exploring\, and developing essential skills.Families attending the event will have the opportunity to connect with local community organizations and resources that support children’s learning\, health\, and growth. \nClick here to sign up to attend\n“When a child is healthy\, happy\, and supported\, they can make great things happen\,” says Karina Teixeira\, Senior Executive Director\, Demakes Family YMCA in Lynn. “We believe in the potential of all children\, and we strive to help kids find that potential within themselves. SUMMARY:SPUR Beach & Park Clean-ups
DESCRIPTION:In honor of Earth Day\, SPUR is cleaning parks and beaches in Beverly\, Lynn\, Marblehead\, Salem\, and Swampscott. Join them on Saturday\, April 26 to pick up trash and debris in our community’s unique and beautiful outdoor spaces.  It’s a wonderful way to volunteer as a group\, a family\, a team\, a workplace\, or a troop and become a steward for our local green spaces! \nSPUR understands that everyone has a busy schedule\, so they have arranged two time slots for this clean-up event. You can join at the park locations from 10 to 11 am or at the beach locations from 4 to 5 pm\, just in time for low tide.
