With this team we aim to reduce stigma surrounding mental health\, improve the access for resources for all communities\, and promote both a culture of mental health awareness and well-being.\n\nThe purpose of the Lynn Youth Led Mental Health Committee is 4 main things:\n\nProvide peer support by creating a place where youth can support each other through shared experiences\nRaise awareness and destigmatize mental health through events and workshops\nOffer resources to youth through workshops and informational materials\nAdvocate for policy changes to improve mental health services and support for youth\n\n___________________________ \nThis meeting will finalize the date\, time and location for an upcoming event – as well as have us plan for future events. \nEvent Description: Join the Lynn Youth Led Mental Health Committee for a relaxing evening at our free arts and craft night. We will have clay sculpting\, bracelet making\, and painting stations. DESCRIPTION:Click for opening night flier\nFrom Galleries at LynnArts (GALA): The exhibit TWIN-Mirror the Spirit Defy the Boundaries is open Dec 13 – Feb. 14\, with Opening night on December 13 from 6-9pm. \nTWIN is a joint exhibit by artists Jay’Nyah Spencer and Michael Aghahowa a celebration of friendship shared roots and artistic freedom. Growing up in Lynn Massachusetts both  artists followed parallel creative paths from Lynn Tech to Raw Art works developing their voices within the same community though years apart.\n\n\nAdmission to the Galleries is always free. Support your health and well-being by joining Tai Chi or Qigong classes! \nRegister for either class anytime by clicking here\, your first class is free! \n_____________ \nTai Chi classes\nTai Chi classes are held on Tuesdays\, 9am-10am. ​This is a true beginner class that will explore Tai Chi fundamentals and theories and learn Wudang Tai Chi 28 movements. \nSome of the benefits of Tai Chi: \n•Promotes relaxation and good health\n•Improves balance and flexibility\n•Relieves stress and fatigue\n•Strengthens body and mind \n“Taiji can give you the strength of a lumberjack\, the pliability of a child\, and the peace of mind of a sage.”\n– Asian proverb \n_____________ \nQigong classes\nQigong classes are held on Tuesdays\, 10am-11am. ​Teacher-guided breathing exercises to optimize “Qi” circulation to regulate your mind and body’s movement and posture – providing a sense of joy and calm. Qigong is an old\, developing discipline that combines breathing exercises\, movement\, self-massage\, gong meditation\, and healing postures to provide a comprehensive approach to self-healing exercise and meditation. \nIs this for you? Whether you are new to Qigong or have previous experience\, you will enjoy this one-hour meditative exercise. Some of the benefits of Qigong: \n•Promotes relaxation and good health\n•Improves balance and flexibility\n•Relieves stress and fatigue\n•Strengthens body and mind \nWhat’s the difference between Qigong and Tai Chi?
