SUMMARY:Taylor Swift Virtual Programs - Fall 2025
DESCRIPTION:From the Lynn Public Library: Join the Tewksbury Public Library & Lynn Public Library for a series of virtual programs revolving around Taylor Swift. \nPLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Webinar via email. All registrants will receive recordings via email within 48 hours of the program. \nThank you to the Tewksbury Public Library for inviting Lynn Public Library patrons to these virtual events. \n\nThe Poetic and Musical Genius of Taylor Swift\nThursday\, October 16 from 7—8PM \n\nHarvard professor Stephanie Burt will deliver a fascinating presentation based on her brand new book\, Taylor’s Version: The Poetic and Musical Genius of Taylor Swift. Burt\, who is a poet and literary scholar\, will offer an insightful and heartfelt critical appreciation of Taylor Swift\, her body of work\, and the community that her art has fostered. Drawing from her 2024 Harvard course\, Taylor Swift and Her World\, as well as from her years as a Swiftie\, Burt will examine Swift’s particular form of genius – not the destructive genius of tortured poets\, but the collaborative and joyful genius of an artist who has mastered her craft. Burt is the Donald P. and Katherine B. Loker Professor of English at Harvard University. Her work appears in the New York Times Book Review\, the New Yorker\, and the London Review of Books\, among others. Her other books of poetry and literary criticism — fourteen in all — include We Are Mermaids\, Advice from the Lights\, and Don’t Read Poetry: A Book About How to Read Poems. \nRegister directly on Zoom HERE.\n______________________________________________ \nTaylor Swift Style: Fashion Through the Eras\nMonday\, October 20 from 7—8PM \n\nAuthor Sarah Chapelle will deliver a fascinating presentation based on her recent bestselling book\, Taylor Swift Style: Fashion Through the Eras. For Taylor Swift\, fashion and music go hand-in-hand — each playing a powerful role in shaping the narrative of this generation’s most prolific storyteller. From cowboy boots to teetering heels\, fairytale dresses to bleach-tinged tresses\, and the many memorable moments in between\, learn the fashion story behind every single Taylor Swift album\, tracing Swift’s musical evolution along with her ever-changing personal style. Chapelle\, creator of the successful Instagram and blog Taylor Swift Style\, has spent more than a decade documenting Swift’s fashion choices and the intention behind each ensemble. \nRegister directly on Zoom HERE.\n______________________________________________ \nTaylor Swift By the Book: Literature Behind the Lyrics\nThursday\, October 30 from 7—8PM \n\nAuthors Rachel Feder and Tiffany Tatreau will deliver a fascinating presentation based on their recent book\, Taylor Swift by the Book: The Literature Behind the Lyrics\, from Fairy Tales to Tortured Poets. Taylor Swift’s lyrics are filled with literary connections. Learn about the novels\, poems\, and plays that influence her songwriting. Let a literature professor and a musical theater artist guide you through the Taylor Swift canon—from Shakespeare to the Brontë sisters to Daphne du Maurier! Feder\, the author of five books\, is an associate professor of English and literary arts at the University of Denver. Tatreau is an actor\, singer\, and teaching artist who has starred in various musicals across the country and is best known for her portrayal of Ocean O’Connell Rosenberg in the musical and original cast album Ride the Cyclone. \nRegister directly on Zoom HERE.

SUMMARY:Community "Drumagic" Drum Circle
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join UUCGL for some Drumagic! \nIt is a way to express yourself. You will leave the afternoon feeling inspired and relaxed. Our drum circle is open to hand drummers over the age of 16. Beginners (with drums) are always welcome. We jam to West African and Haitian-inspired rhythms on djembes\, ashikos\, dunduns\, congas\, dumbeks\, and makeshift hand drums. Please no snare drums\, kit drums\, or bucket and stick drums. \nIf you do not own a drum or are unable to borrow one from a friend\, flat-bottomed\, rounded-edge water cooler jugs and flat-bottomed\, rounded edge (not sharp edge) Rubbermaid-type wastebaskets work fine as makeshift drums. \nNever drummed before? No Problem. We will show you the way. Come out and plan to have an afternoon of spiritual awakening\, fun\, and meeting wonderful people. Oh\, and if you like to dance\, drum rhythms are great to move to as well. \nCost: Volunteer donation of $5 to $10 suggested. We usually meet on the second Sunday of each month. \nPlease note: for security reasons the doors will be locked promptly at 1:35pm\, so make sure to be on time! \n\nThe above information was submitted to us by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn

It is not a program or a service and is open to members with a Mass Health Behavioral Health insurance component. The key characteristics of the Wraparound process are that a plan is developed by a family -centered team\, is individualized based on the strengths and culture of the child and their family\, and is needs -based rather than service –driven. \n\n\n\n\nWhat Is The Systems Of Care Committee?\nCommunity Service Agency (CSA) and the Systems of Care Meeting (SOC) covers cities and towns in the Greater Lynn area: Lynn\, Lynnfield\, Nahant\, Saugus and Swampscott. \nThe Systems of Care Committee is intended to support the Community Service Agency’s efforts in their local geographic area to establish and sustain collaborative partnerships among families\, parent/family organizations\, traditional and non – traditional service providers\, community organizations\, state agencies\, faith – based groups\, local schools\, Mass Health and its contracted Managed Care Entities (MCEs)\, and other community stakeholders. The local Systems of Care Committee ensures that the Care Coordination of the Community Service Agency is in sync with other service delivery systems\, with state agency services\, and with informal helpers and community resources. \nThe Systems of Care Committee meets monthly to coordinate and integrate family voice into current community resources\, to identify additional supports\, and work together to offer a variety of choices to families without always having to recruit agency providers. At this time\, we have over 500 members in our SOC email group that is distributed via constant contact twice a month.
