DESCRIPTION:The Galleries at LynnArts will host a vibrant new Pop-UP solo exhibition\, Polyvios Christoforos: From the Collection – Greek Scenes\, Caricatures & Figure Drawings\, from May 14 to May 18\, 2025. The show will be on view in the GALA Community Gallery at 25 Exchange Street in Lynn\, with an Artist’s Reception on Sunday\, May 18\, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. \nPolyvios Christoforos is a North Shore-based artist whose work bridges whimsical imagination and classical observation. Influenced by animation legends like Preston Blair\, Ren & Stimpy\, and Disney classics\, his practice blends storytelling with fine art traditions. A turning point came in an art class at the North Shore Education Consortium\, where painting a spring landscape sparked his lifelong dedication to art. \nThis exhibit features paintings and drawings created over the past 5 to 10 years in workshops and classes around the North Shore. With an emphasis on recent work you will certainly see themes that reoccur throughout the years of his body of work. From richly painted Greek landscapes to expressive caricatures and evocative figure studies\, Of note is the book that he wrote and illustrated\, entitled “Sammy Smart Guy”.
