Lynn Uncovered – Episode 1: Artist Daniel Chapman

Lynn, MA – Lynn Uncovered is a new web series from LCTV that aims to tell stories within the community. This city is filled with amazing people. We wouldn’t have amazing art, restaurants and organizations without them. We aim to have a new episode of this web series produced monthly.

I met Dano about 7 years ago in a program called Door 2 Door where we created paintings for the annual RAW bash event that happens every year. Daniel is one of the most talented guys I know from Lynn. His work is a reflection of himself. Inspired by the locals around him and the scenery that surrounds him.

Capturing him in his space naturally was very important to me, so nothing you see on screen was setup. I chose not to use the tripod too much because I didn’t want to miss any good moments. The project took 4 days to shoot at about 1-2hrs each. Complimenting Dano’s work through the edit was important to me so finding music that was nostalgic and using film grain definitely helped put this piece together.
