The Lynn Public Health Department has confirmed that as of today, April 9, 2020, the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases has risen to 410, 15 have recovered, and 4 Lynn residents have died. As the number of cases in Lynn continue to rise, residents need to be vigilant of the increasing threat of the spread of COVID-19 resulting from the lack of compliance with social distancing guidelines by some in our community. I implore you to stay home.

The State of Massachusetts has partnered with Buoy Health to provide all residents with a free, online resource to assess possible symptoms for COVID-19. This online tool does not replace emergency medical care. Please communicate directly with your primary care provider through the online portal or telemedicine service if you require further attention.

Buoy Health’s online is 24/7 and of course free for Massachusetts residents and uses current COVID-19 guidance from the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health Buoy.com/mass. The site also includes patient resources www.buoyhealth.com/diagnoses-a-z/coronavirus/

We will continue to provide regular updates on COVID-19 through the City website (www.lynnma.gov), social media, and the Smart 911 emergency notification system (sign up at www.smart911.com).
