This fundraiser is the heartbeat of our planning process\, as it provides the essential resources needed to bring our cultural celebrations to life. Kakrona Center Inc. is a non-profit organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers who believe in the power of preserving our heritage. \nEvery ticket purchased and every donation made at this event goes directly toward the high costs of organizing a city-wide festival—from securing professional live entertainment and traditional dance troupes to covering essential city permits and public safety services. By joining us for this fundraiser\, you are doing more than attending a party; you are investing in the visibility of the Cambodian community in Lynn. Your support ensures that we can continue to offer a high-quality\, safe\, and vibrant space for our elders to pass down traditions and for our youth to celebrate their roots. Join Kakrona for a vibrant day filled with delicious food\, traditional music\, cultural performances\, contests\, raffles\, games\, and so much more. This is a family-friendly event open to everyone in the community!\n\nAdmission: FREE\nRain Date: Saturday\, May 3rd\, 2025\n______________________________ \nWith great consideration and a heavy heart\, we want to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to postpone our “2025 Khmer New Year Festival” to our designated rain date\, Saturday\, May 3rd\, 2025. \nAfter closely monitoring multiple trusted weather sources and forecast applications\, it has become clear that this Saturday\, April 26th\, 2025\, will bring continuous rain throughout the day. Unfortunately\, the wet weather presents significant challenges to our operations\, from logistical complications to the risk of damage to our band and DJ equipment. In light of this\, we believe that postponing the event is the most responsible and safest option for all involved. \nWe deeply apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause. As much as we had hoped for clearer skies\, Mother Nature had other plans\, and that’s something we simply cannot control. \nAs previously noted on our event applications and flyers\, May 3rd\, 2025 has always been listed as our official rain date. While this decision has not been easy\, we are hopeful that the extra time will allow us to deliver an even more vibrant and joyful celebration for our community. We sincerely hope you will still be able to join us on the new date. \nThank you for your understanding\, patience\, and continued support.
