The REAL Program Seeking Donations For Permanent Home

The REAL Program is calling for your support to continue their vital mission in our Lynn community. As a non-profit organization, The REAL Program has been committed to enhancing literacy and life outcomes for families in Lynn since 2013. Their comprehensive approach includes a range of programs designed to provide educational support, mentorship, and essential resources to both children and adults.

The REAL Program’s initiatives have made a significant impact over the years. The Before Home program offers personalized tutoring and enrichment activities for elementary school students  (300,000 books have been donated since their founding as part of this program)! The REALSTREAM Summer Program combines STEM with Reading and Arts to foster critical thinking and creativity. ESL Classes for Adults not only improve communication skills but also enhance life outcomes by helping individuals secure better jobs, bring better opportunities to their children, and provides essential support to participants. The Little Free Libraries® Campaign is transforming Lynn into a city of readers by placing over 250 Little Free Libraries throughout the community. Looking ahead, REAL’s preschool – Starting Small – will provide nurturing, cooperative learning environment for young children, laying a strong foundation for their future education.

However, The REAL Program currently faces a critical challenge. Their home of seven years is up for sale, and without securing this location as a permanent base, their ability to continue these essential services is at risk. $85,000 has already been raised by generous institutions and individuals who know the value of what The REAL Program has done for Lynn towards a down payment but they need an additional $35,000 to ensure they can remain in their facility and continue to provide these life-changing programs.

Your contribution can make a real difference. Whether you donate $5 or $500, every dollar helps The REAL Program maintain and expand their services. Today, they have shared that donations of $50 or more will be recognized in 2024 Annual Impact Report, giving you a chance to be acknowledged for your generosity and commitment to improving literacy and supporting Lynn. By contributing, you are securing these vital services permanently in Lynn. Donations are being accepted through September 30th.
