Food insecurity is a major problem right now\, with millions of families struggling to afford enough nutritious food due to rising costs and economic instability. Many people are forced to skip meals or rely on food assistance programs\, highlighting the urgent need for community support and long-term solutions to end hunger.1 \nJoin us in helping our community and make this year’s Freezin’ another successful event for My Brother’s Table!!! \nWe will be selling raffle tickets for gift baskets and are looking for donations from local businesses for support. DESCRIPTION:Good Hope\, Inc. is excited to announce the 9th Annual Running & Walking Well 5K. This year’s event aims to raise funds for constructing a well in the Lira District of Northern Uganda\, providing clean and accessible water to thousands in need. \nSaturday\, June 7\, 2025\, at 9:00 AM\nNahant Life Saving Station\, 96 Nahant Road\, Nahant\, MA \nRegistration: Early Bird Registration is $30 until May 7\, 2025; $35 thereafter. Family registration (up to 4 participants) is $100\, increasing to $120 after May 7. Registration includes a free T-shirt & Racers Goody Bag. This year\, proceeds will support a new well in Uganda\, addressing the urgent need for clean drinking water in the Lira District. Access to safe water is critical\, as approximately 24% of Africa’s 1.37 billion people lack this essential resource\, leading to preventable diseases and deaths\, especially among children. \nGet Involved:\nParticipants can contribute by running or walking in the event\, volunteering\, donating a silent auction item or spreading the word.
