DESCRIPTION:The Galleries at LynnArts are currently hosting an engaging and exuberant exhibition by the Tuesday Artists Group\, a newly-formed collective whose first show is a bold testament to what can blossom when artists are given space\, support\, and shared purpose. On view through July 20th\, the pop-up show features a compelling range of experimental and collaborative works created over the past six months in weekly sessions and museum visits. \nWhat’s immediately striking is the breadth and variety of artistic approaches represented. From meticulous realism to expressive abstraction\, this show resists stylistic uniformity—and in doing so\, underscores the rich\, layered possibilities of group-based artmaking. One of the unifying threads\, however\, is the use of vibrant and enchanting color. Across mediums and techniques\, color becomes a language of joy\, reflection\, and play. \nA standout moment within the show is a wall devoted to a shared theme: boats. Each artist has interpreted this motif in their own voice\, resulting in a fascinating dialogue of perspectives. Some render boats with precision and quietude\, anchored in realism; others dissolve the forms into abstraction\, allowing gesture and palette to evoke motion\, memory\, or metaphor. The juxtaposition is both delightful and revealing\, showcasing the unique vision each artist brings to a common starting point. \nThe group’s collaborative spirit culminates in a silent auction to be held during the artist reception on Friday\, July 18th\, from 4:30 to 7 PM. Across cultures and generations\, the Banyan Tree has carried deep meaning—and it’s the perfect inspiration for a collaborative creation rooted in connection\, care\, and growth. \nIn many parts of the world—especially India and Southeast Asia—the Banyan Tree is more than just a tree. \n\n\nIn Hinduism\, it represents immortality\, spiritual wisdom\, and divine shelter\, often linked to gods like Vishnu and Shiva. \n\n\nIn Buddhism\, it’s connected to the Bodhi Tree\, under which the Buddha found enlightenment. It stands for resilience and inner peace. \n\n\nIn local villages\, it’s a natural meeting place—serving as a center for community and storytelling. \n\n\nThe Banyan Tree is unique in how it grows: from a single seed\, it sends down aerial roots that become trunks\, creating a network of support. \nThis makes it a powerful metaphor for: \n\n\nInterconnection – each root and branch supports the whole \n\n\nCommunity strength – many parts forming a unified structure \n\n\nLegacy – standing tall through generations\, holding memory and history \n\n\nWhy the Banyan Tree for Our Project?\nOur paper Banyan Tree is built just like its real-life counterpart—from many individual contributions. DESCRIPTION:Inc.ubate Coworking Lynn & The Lynn Music Foundation are excited to announce our latest collaboration\, the Civil Society Screenings @ The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre. \nThe Civil Society Screenings are curated to create public dialogue over conflict (familial\, political\, cultural\, and socio-economic) and ways to move to mutual understanding and organized community activism.  This monthly film series is designed to make you think\, and develop a framework to engage your community for positive change. \nFilms Start at 7pm (Doors 6:30pm) \n___________________ \nThe Beautiful Country Summary \nBinh\, a Vietnamese Amerasian boy\, faces discrimination and leaves his village to find his mother in Saigon. After a fatal incident involving her employer\, Binh flees with his younger brother Tam. En route to America\, a storm diverts their boat to Malaysia\, where they meet Ling\, a prostitute who helps them escape. Tam dies during the harsh voyage. In New York\, Binh works while Ling moves on. Learning he qualifies for citizenship\, Binh travels to Texas to find his blind father. Though he hides his identity\, his father senses the truth\, and they begin to bond quietly at the film’s end. \nTrailer: The Beautiful Country Trailer \nBonus Film\nAfter The Beautiful Country we will be screening a nine minute short created by Lynn’s very own New American Association of Massachusetts (NAAM) called “New Roots for New Americans: NAAM Client Stories“.
