Western Ave. Improvement Project | June 8, 2022
On June 8, 2022 the City of Lynn held an informational meeting and discussion, with a Q&A after, regarding the upcoming Western Ave. Improvement Project. The goals of this project are to enhance safety and accessibility for all users through the full reconstruction of the corridor. The corridor has experienced an excessive number of crashes. Four of the intersections in the corridor are listed in the MassDOT Statewide Top 200 High Crash Location List. This project will reconstruct 1.9 miles of Western Avenue (Route 107) in Lynn between Centre Street and Eastern Avenue. Work will include roadway pavement reconstruction, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, drainage improvements, improved design for traffic operation and safety, and new signs and pavement markings.
