MBTA press conference: Temporary Lynn Station opening December 2023 | October 11, 2023
On Wednesday, October 11, 2023 the MBTA announced that a temporary platform will open on Ellis Street so that Commuter Rail Service may resume in Lynn beginning in December, 9 months ahead of schedule. A brief speaking program was conducted featuring MBTA General Manager and CEO Phillip Eng, State Senator Brendan P. Crighton, Representative Peter Capano, Lynn Mayor Jared Nicholson, & MBTA Board Director Thomas McGee. After the speaking portion a short Q&A session was also conducted, and LCTV spoke with both Mayor Jared Nicholson and MBTA Board Member/Former Lynn Mayor Thomas McGee.
