The 12th Annual Excellence in Literacy Leadership Awards was the focus on this edition of the Lowdown. The Awards will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 5:30-8pm at the Lynn Museum. Saritin Rizzuto (Co-Chair/Founder), Nikki Wilson (Co-Chair), & Vicky Riverea (President LHSF) joined us to discuss the event, honorees, & importance of literacy. Celebrate Literacy Day was founded to create awareness about literacy and education. Every year they also honor local non-profits and community leaders, this year honoring the Lynn Hispanic Scholarship Fund (LHSF).
