Superintendent Announces Principal,Interim Principal Appointments

Lynn Public Schools is pleased to announce one principal and two interim principal appointments for the upcoming school year. These experienced educators bring years of dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Lynn community, and we look forward to the positive impact they will have on students, staff, and families.

Courtesy of Lynn Public Schools: Superintendent of Schools Dr. Molly Cohen has appointed Michael Zimirowski principal of Breed Middle School.

Zimirowski has been an educator in Lynn Public Schools for 29 years, including the last 13 as vice principal at Breed. Prior to that he was a guidance counselor at Breed for eight years and a science teacher at Lynn English.

A Lynn English graduate, Zimirowski earned his bachelor’s degree at the College of the Holy Cross, where he was captain of the football team, and a master’s in education at Salem State University. He was an assistant football coach at Lynn English from 1997-05.

“Michael is an outstanding educational leader who has been part of the fabric of the Breed community for more than 20 years,” Cohen said. “He has the respect of students, staff, families and district administration. He is ready for this opportunity.”

Zimirowski replaces Julie Louf, who is now deputy superintendent. Tim Moriarty served as interim principal at Breed last year.

Cohen also announced two interim principal appointments: Andrea Taddeo at Drewicz Elementary and Jill Bradley at Ford Elementary.

Taddeo has more than 30 years’ experience in education, having worked as a paraprofessional, teacher, literacy specialist, assistant principal and program specialist. She served as interim principal at Drewicz for the 2024-25 school year.

Taddeo earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Boston University, a master’s in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s in organizational management and educational leadership from Endicott College. She replaces George Papayannis, who left the district.

“We wish him well in his future endeavors,” Cohen said.

Bradley has more than 18 years’ service in Lynn Public Schools, having worked as a teacher and in a variety of leadership roles, including math curriculum and instruction teacher (CIT) and district math coach. She also served as interim principal at Aborn Elementary School.

Bradley earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Salem State University and her master’s in administration from American International College. She replaces Amy Nerich, who has taken a position at Drewicz Elementary.

“We are fortunate to have Andrea and Jill step into these roles,” Cohen said. “Both are experienced educators who are familiar with the district and the school communities they will be leading.”
