A Special Thank You to Principal James Kennison and Teen Volunteers Sophie Kennison & Audrey Pelletier
The students of Callahan Elementary School in Lynn are embracing the power of kindness with the launch of their very own Kids Kindness Club, made possible by Connor’s Kindness Project (CKP)and the generous sponsorship of The Carole Remick Foundation. On March 11th over 400 studentsgathered in the auditorium to take part in an inspiring presentation, learning how small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
A huge thank you goes to Principal James Kennison for welcoming CKP to Callahan School and supporting this important initiative. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Lynnfield High School teen volunteers Sophie Kennison and Audrey Pelletier, who helped introduce the program to the students.
The highlight of the event was a powerful video showcasing Connor Wright’s journey in founding Connor’s Kindness Project and the Kindness Club initiative. Students were captivated by Connor’s story of how he turned a simple idea into a movement that has inspired over 15,000 students across New England to complete more than 332,000 acts of kindness since 2023.
Why Kindness Matters in Schools
The Kids Kindness Club is designed to foster empathy, inclusiveness, and community service, creating a positive school culture and helping prevent bullying. Research shows that schools with kindness-based programs experience:
✔ Increased student engagement and improved peer relationships
✔ Decreased bullying and disciplinary incidents
✔ Higher academic achievement and emotional well-being
✔ A stronger sense of school community
As students embark on their kindness journey, Callahan School is set to make a lasting impact, one kind act at a time. This program wouldn’t be possible without the support of organizations like The Carole Remick Foundation, which believes in empowering youth through education and community service.
