Stacy Bryant-Brown

Stacy Bryant-Brown

My name is Stacy Bryant-Brown, a lifelong Lynn resident, Lynn Classical grad, and Salem State CJ alum. For 30 years, I’ve served as a Juvenile Court Officer, many of those years in Lynn. I see firsthand how students fall through the cracks—not because they’re bad, but because they’re struggling with trauma, mental health, and poverty. I’m running for School Committee to bring this experience into a room where decisions are made. Our schools need more than discipline—they need empathy, services, and trusted adults. I believe in early intervention, mental health support, and meeting students where they are. I’m a mentor, advocate, and someone who shows up for kids every day. This is my second time running, and I’m more determined than ever.

His work has made him a strong voice for transparency and responsible budgeting. Outside of his public service, Brian is a proud family man and devoted father. Julie Pyram Dorsey

Julie Pyram Dorsey

I’m Julie P. Dorsey, a proud lifelong resident of Lynn, a product of the Lynn Public Schools, and a candidate for the Lynn School Committee. As the wife of a military veteran and mother of two, I bring both personal and professional perspectives to the challenges facing our students and families. Having served as a substitute teacher across all public schools in Lynn, I’ve gained valuable insight into the unique strengths and challenges of each school. My mission is to introduce technology and career-readiness programs that help students discover their purpose, develop their skillsets, and find ways to contribute to the future of our city. I believe all students deserve access to a high-quality education, and I know my experience as a public-school educator equips me to be a strong voice.

Eric Dugan*

Eric Dugan*

My name is Eric Dugan. I am seeking re-election to the Lynn School Committee. The thing that makes me stand out on the committee is that I bring the voice of a public school classroom teacher. I have been a teacher for 24 years and I bring that experience to serve as a voice for our students and educators.

During my time on the committee I have always supported common sense, student centered decision making. One of more important jobs I have on the committee is serving as the Policy sub-committee chair. In this role I have helped develop, role out and support new policies that have brought positive change to the schools. I believe that these policies have made our schools a better place for our students. I am humbly asking for one of your votes, to send me back.

Lorraine Gately*

Lorraine Gately*

I am Lorraine Gately, Vice Chair of the Lynn School Committee. I am also the Chair of the building and Grounds Committee subcommittee. I sit on the Curriculum and Personnel Subcommittee as well. I am a lifelong Lynner. I  taught science/biology in our middle and high schools for 33.5 years. When I retired I decided to run for the school committee. I wanted to add my perspective as a lead science teacher, teacher and parent’s point of view to the committee. I am proud to say I have been elected to five terms and I am now running for my sixth term.

As the Chair of the Building and Grounds Subcommittee we have accomplished many results to resolve the overcrowded conditions in our middle and traditional high schools. I would like to continue our work on facilities and student growth. So when you go to the polls on election day please consider me for one of your six votes.
