Celebrate the Permanent Protection of Lynn Woods
April 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
Join Greenbelt, the MA Department of Conservation & Recreation, and the City of Lynn to celebrate the permanent protection of 2,1000 acres in Lynn Woods.
After a decades-long collaboration, the City of Lynn and Lynn Water & Sewer Commission granted a conservation restriction to DCR and Greenbelt, ensuring that Lynn Woods will never again face the threat of development.
This conservation restriction ensures that clean drinking water and miles of trails through. Lynn Woods will be available to the tens of thousands of residents of Lynn and beyond, forever.
Remarks from:
- Stephanie Cooper, Undersecretary | MA Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs
- Brian Arrigo, Commissioner | MA Dept. of Conservation & Recreation
- Jared Nicholson, Mayor | City of Lynn
- Kate Bowditch, President | Essex County Greenbelt
Weather permitting, join Greenbelt on a short celebratory walk following remarks. Questions? Please contact at ecga@ecga.org or 978 768 7241 x110.
