unaBASHed: RAW’s Party with a Purpose

Raw Art Works is thrilled to announce the launch of its highly anticipated annual fundraiser, BASH, with an electrifying new theme: unaBASHed. Set to take place on May 11, 2024, at Raw Art Works located at 37 Central Square in Lynn, MA, this year’s event promises an unforgettable evening celebrating the fearless creativity and unabashed self-expression that define the artistic spirit.

Each year, BASH serves as a vital platform for Raw Art Works to raise crucial support for its transformative programs empowering young people through the arts. From visual arts to filmmaking, Raw Art Works provides a safe and nurturing space for youth to explore their creativity, develop their voices, and build confidence.

“UnaBASHed encapsulates the essence of our mission at Raw Art Works,” says Rosario Ubiera-Minaya, Executive Director of Raw Art Works. “It’s about embracing authenticity, celebrating individuality, and championing the unapologetic spirit of artists who fearlessly express themselves through their work.”

This year, Raw Art Works is proud to honor Bruce and Tricia Herring for their unwavering support and dedication to the organization. Bruce Herring, as Chair of Raw Art Works’ Board (2009-present), has contributed his experiences in the private sector to significantly grow RAW’s social impact now and into the future. His commitment to RAW’s mission comes from the personal experiences he and his family have had working directly with RAW staff and youth over his fourteen-year tenure on the Board. Motivated by a desire to close the opportunity divide for local underserved youth, he has been a determined driver of RAW’s growth and development. “This organization is making a difference in the lives of hundreds of kids every day and is a place where they feel safe and understood,” says Bruce Herring.

“Bruce has devoted his talent and vision to our expansion,” adds Rosario Ubiera- Minaya. “Now it is our turn to honor Bruce and Tricia for their unabashed support and leadership.”

UnaBASHed will feature an array of captivating performances, interactive art experiences, delicious cuisine, and our annual art auction, all set against the backdrop of Raw Art Works’ vibrant creative community.
