Information from the City of Lynn
Lynn Public Schools (LPS) will be closed on Wednesday, February 11th. KIPP Academy will have a 2-hour delay. All LPS after-school activities will take place as scheduled.
Due to the timing of this snowstorm, the parking ban for the City of Lynn will be lifted overnight. Per City ordinance, residents have until 6:00AM to remove their cars or be subject to ticketing or towing.
Because so many of our schools across the city are used for resident parking during a snow event, it takes time to make sure that the lots are properly cleaned to allow parents, students, and teachers to get to school safely.
The tow lot is located at 389 Blossom Street (Lynn Ferry Terminal Site).
Las Escuelas Públicas de Lynn (LPS por sus siglas en inglés) estarán cerradas el miércoles 11 de febrero. Kipp Academy tendrá un retraso de 2 horas. Todas las actividades extraescolares de LPS se llevarán a cabo según lo previsto.
Debido al momento en que se produce esta tormenta de nieve, la prohibición de estacionamiento para la Ciudad de Lynn se levantará después de las 9:00 PM (10 de febrero). Según la ordenanza municipal, los residentes tienen hasta las 6:00 AM para retirar sus vehículos o estarán sujetos a multas o remolques.Debido a que muchas de nuestras escuelas en toda la ciudad se utilizan para el estacionamiento de residentes durante los eventos de nieve, se necesita tiempo para asegurarse de que los estacionamientos de nieve se limpien adecuadamente para permitir que los padres, estudiantes y maestros lleguen a la escuela de manera segura.
El estacionamiento de los vehículos remolcados está ubicado en 389 Blossom Street (Terminal del Ferry de Lynn).
Other updates
Due to a citywide parking ban taking effect at 5:00 PM in the City of Lynn, the North Shore Juneteenth Association unfortunately has to cancel tonight’s Opening of Local Black Excellence.
