The City of Lynn is under a winter WEATHER ADVISORY UNTIL 7PM on Tuesday
- 3-5 inches of snow are forecast for Lynn, but there is still some uncertainty as to exact amounts.
- Heavy snow is possible at times, but mainly early to mid morning on Tuesday. High snowfall rates will make visibility a concern at times, and impact the commute.
- Precipitation starting time for Lynn: 11PM-2AM
- Precipitation ending time for Lynn: 11PM-1AM

FROM CITY HALL AT 3:20PM ON MONDAY, FEB. 27
Due to the expected snowfall, Lynn Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 28th.
There will be NO snow parking ban. Residents are encouraged to park in their driveways or off-street where possible and are reminded not to block fire hydrants. Please do your part to clear your sidewalks for safe passage. The Department of Public Works (DPW)’s clean-up operations will begin overnight and continue throughout the day.
Lynn’s Senior Center will be closed. Please note that the Library and City Hall will remain open during regular business hours.

Debido a la caída de nieve que se espera, las Escuelas Públicas de Lynn estarán cerradas el martes 28 de febrero.
NO habrá prohibición de estacionamiento. Se exhorta a los residentes a estacionarse en los parqueos personales de sus residencias o en la calle donde les sea posible y se les recuerda que no deben bloquear los hidrantes para incendio. Por favor ponga de su parte para limpiar las aceras para la circulación segura de los peatones.
Las operaciones de limpieza de DPW comenzarán durante la noche y continuará a través del día.
El Centro para Personas Mayores de Lynn estará cerrado. Por favor tenga en cuenta que la Biblioteca y el Ayuntamiento (City Hall) estarán abiertos en su horario de trabajo usual.

From North Shore Community College:
NSCC will be closed for day classes Tuesday 2/28 due to inclement weather. All administrative offices and college services will be closed. A decision to hold classes beginning after 5 p.m. will be made and announced at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, 2/28.
From Lynn Public Schools:
The Lynn Public Schools Welcome Center will be closed tomorrow Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 due to the inclement weather. We will resume on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at our regular office hours from 7:45am – 3:45pm.
El Centro de Bienvenida de las escuelas públicas de Lynn estará cerrado mañana martes 28 de febrero de 2023, debido a las inclemencias del tiempo. Reanudaremos el miércoles 1 de marzo de 2023 en el horario regular de oficina de 7:45am a 3:45pm.
From the Salvation Army
Due to tommorows snow fall pantry will be canceled. Reopen on Wednesday from 9am to 12pm.

From Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS)
GLSS buildings will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28 due to forecasted bad weather. Staff will be working remotely and we will be taking calls at our main number, 781-599-0110, during regular business hours from 8 am to 5 pm. We anticipate that our buildings will be open as usual on Wednesday.
