Track ferry locations live in the MBTA Go app and other digital tools
From the MBTA: The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is sharing that real-time information for ferries, including live boat locations and departure predictions, is available now in the MBTA Go app, and other digital tools.
Riders will be able to track their boats and plan their trips accordingly.
Now with the addition of ferry, all fixed-route MBTA modes of transit (subway, bus, Commuter Rail, ferry) have available live-tracking options.
“Real time travel information is something that the public relies on to make informed decisions and to make public transportation easier to use. The MBTA Go app that we launched in 2024 is my go-to, and now ferry riders can use it too. I want to thank the MBTA’s Transformation & Technology and ferry operations teams for this upgrade that will serve many riders and connect water transportation to our other modes. It’s our hope that with more clear communication our riders will have less stress in their busy day as they plan their journeys on land or on the water.”
Interim Secretary and MBTA General Manager Phillip Eng
