
The City of Lynn is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, and marking the occasion with a celebration on May 14th and special shirts available for purchase. Settled as a town in 1629 and incorporated as a city on May 14, 1850, the City of Lynn is the 5th oldest settlement in the state.
To mark this anniversary, a celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at the Lynn Common. This momentous occasion will be celebrated by an official unveiling of the new fountain on the Lynn Common and a series of special events, including performances by the All-City Band and the City’s first Poet Laureate. The City of Lynn “hopes you will join us to bring the community together to commemorate the rich history and vibrant spirit of Lynn”.
There are also shirts available to mark the occasion, featuring the new fountain. The shirts are 100% cotton and only available on black. Sizes Available are M, L XL & XXL in men’s and M, L, XL & XXL in women’s (V-neck).
Shirts cost $25 amd 100% of t-shirt sales benefit the Lynn Fireworks Fund. Email Allison at aperry@lynnma.gov or visit Room 305 in Lynn City Hall  to purchase a LYNN175 T-Shirt.
