Members, Sponsors and Friends,

I’m happy to announce that June 7th we begin our first phase of reopening to the public.

Though the state is lifting restrictions on May 29th, we are in the process of upgrading our studio with new cameras, a better teleprompter system, a new switcher and more so that we may better serve you. If you were already familiar with our old studio, the differences in how things operate will be minor, though the improvements in quality and capabilities noticeable, and we will help you as your shows resume in the studio.

Since we don’t know who is vaccinated and who isn’t, we are still going to require masks in this first phase of re-opening, and we will be wearing ours, except when in our offices with doors closed.

We will allow two members from the public to be in the studio (such as a host and a guest,) with two in the waiting area at any given time. We now have a PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) camera in the studio that does not require an operator in the same room, plus the three new studio cameras that we will set in fixed positions.

If both members in the studio are fully vaccinated, they will have the option to remove their masks. (This is an honor system. Please be honest.)

Mics will be suspended from the ceiling over talent to avoid close contact and the need to sanitize between shoots.

Two members may come into the lobby area to sign out equipment at a time. Staff no longer need to bring it to you outside.

When we feel that we are ready, we will relax the rules further.

I’m also excited to announce that a new lynntv.org is coming online by late August. Rebuilt from the ground up, it prioritizes content and should make your programs easier to find and increase viewership. City meeting content should also be easier to find, with a better search function and categorization by boards and committees to get to what you want, faster.

Finally, we will go back to our old schedule of 9am to 8pm Mondays-through-Thursdays and 9am to 6pm Fridays as evening studio use returns. We will send out another email to let you know when that happens. For the time being, hours remain 9am to 5pm Mondays through Fridays.

Thank you for understanding and being patient with us during this pandemic. We have missed all of you.
