MASSHIRE North Shore Career Center launching free Career Technical Training this February

MASSHIRE North Shore Career Center has worked with Lynn Tech to offer a Career Training Initiative, dedicated to empowering North Shore adult residents seeking a brighter professional path. These free training programs aim to equip individuals, regardless of background, with valuable skills for a thriving future in the Welding & Automotive Technology industries. MASSHIRE will also offer Job Search Assistance to those who complete the programs.

In the Automotive technology program students will learn how to inspect vehicles for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made. Test drive vehicles and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. Industry Certification Includes  OSHA 10,  SP2 Service.

In the welding program students will learn how to inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices. Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications. Industry Certification Includes OSHA 10,  NFPA Hotworks.

• The Career Training Initiative is a state-funding program to train Adults (18+)
• Both Training programs will be facilitated by and at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute | Lynn, MA
• Welding Training Opportunity – Monday. Wednesday, Thursday | 4 pm – 8 pm  (February – May 2024)
• Automotive Technician – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | 4 pm – 8 pm (February – May 2024)
• Industry Certifications will be offered
• Job Serch and Career Coaching Assistance provided by MASSHIRE – North Shore Career Center
• Resume Development and Connection with Industry Employers during training
• All program participants would need to complete  and pass a CRIMINAL OFFENDER RECORD INFORMATION form
• AT NO COST to students  – THIS TRAINING IS FREE
