My Brother’s Table, the largest soup kitchen on the North Shore, announces the addition of two Lynn residents to its Board of Directors: Casandra Farguheson and Sean Reid.
Casandra Farguheson, a dedicated school-based Community Health Worker at Lynn Community Health Center, brings with her a wealth of experience and commitment to the city. Arriving in Lynn 53 years ago from Costa Rica, Casandra has become an integral part of the community. Married and the proud mother of three children and grandmother to seven, Farguheson has dedicated her life to supporting Lynn families.
Sean Reid, District Director for State Senator Brendan Crighton, Real Estate Agent at Century 21 North East, and recently elected member of the Lynn School Committee, is a dynamic force for positive change in Lynn. A proud graduate of Lynn Public Schools, North Shore Community College, and Amherst College, Sean’s commitment to community service is exemplified through his involvement with organizations such as the YMCA of Metro North, Alumni & Friends of Lynn Classical High School, Lynn Rotary Club, and the co-founding of Kayak and Sail Lynn.
“My Brother’s Table is excited to welcome Casandra Farguheson and Sean Reid to our Board of Directors. Our mission is to nourish our community every day through hospitality, free meals, and unconditional love, and Casandra and Sean embody those values.”
Marissa Walsh, President of the MBT Board of Directors
“With their passion for community service, diverse experiences, and deep roots in Lynn, Casandra and Sean will be an asset to the Table,” said Executive Director Dianne Kuzia Hills.
The addition of Casandra Farguheson and Sean Reid to the Board of Directors reflects My Brother’s Table’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its leadership team with individuals who bring diverse perspectives and a shared dedication to creating positive change in Lynn.
My Brother’s Table would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to retiring board members Diane Conlon and George Sonia. Their tireless efforts and dedication have enabled the Table to provide essential support to people in need. “We extend our deepest thanks for their invaluable contributions and many years of service on the board. They have been unwavering partners in our fight against hunger in Greater Lynn. Although their board service has ended, we are grateful that they remain members of the Table family,” said Hills.
“It was an honor to serve with Diane and George,” said Walsh. “They will be missed.”For more information about My Brother’s Table and its mission, please visit www.mybrotherstable.org.
