New Traffic Pattern on Route 107 (Salem Turnpike/Western Avenue) Southbound

Two southbound travel lanes are opened at the Belden Bly Bridge this past Friday, September 18

From MassDOT: The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that a new traffic pattern will be implemented on Route 107 southbound at the Belden Bly Bridge in Lynn and Saugus beginning Friday, September 18.  Under the new configuration, two travel lanes will be open to southbound traffic. 

This work is part of a $99.3 million drawbridge replacement project. 

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advance message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.  

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.  

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
