Census Week on Facebook

As a member of the “Complete Census Committee”, along with Mayor McGee & City Clerk Janet Rowe, we are dedicating one week to promote the 2020 Census every day on our Facebook page!

We invite you to share these posts to help spread the word on how important it is to complete your 2020 Census. Our City deserves the best schools, health care, housing, childcare, transportation, and political representation. Filling out the Census is a big factor in determining funding and how many representatives in government we receive.

The Federal Census is a snapshot of who we are as a nation. There are billions of federal funds available to cities and towns. We all need to be counted to get our share, so please help us spread the word!

Back in February we released a short PSA we worked on with City of Lynn Election Chief & City Clerk Janet Rowe that shows why it’s important to fill out the Census & how information is kept confidential for over 7 decades. watch it on Facebook by clicking here.

It has never been easier to respond to the Census on your own! This year you can fill it out online at www.2020census.gov, over the phone by calling 844-330-2020, or by mail.

There are even 13 language options available, several listed below with more on their website. 91+million households in the country have responded so far!

Per the state’s guidelines, and for the health and safety of others, capacity will be limited. We encourage viewers to enter through the gates on Union Street and exit through the Museum Courtyard on Washington Street.
