The Lynn Hazard Mitigation Plan is prepared under guidelines from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to identify actions that can be taken to reduce the dangers to life and property from the following natural hazards:

  • Flooding
  • Extreme heat and cold
  • Drought
  • Landslide
  • Wildfires
  • Hurricanes
  • Tornadoes
  • Winter Storms
  • Wind
  • Invasives
  • Earthquakes

HMPs are required to be updated every 5 years. Lynn’s Plan Update is in process.
