Sweet Sadie’s Difference Makers Seeking Donations
Sweet Sadie’s Difference Makers is a nonprofit organization that perpetuates the memory and legacy of Lynner Sarah MacIsaac by providing access to educational and recreational opportunities for those with disabilities. They hold a Benefit Concert and a 5K each year, but are currently looking to raise money while there are no events to carry on the work they do.
When Sarah passed away in March of 2020 her family and friends set up this nonprofit, and the first project they accomplished was the establishment of the Sweet Sadie Scholarship Fund at North Shore Community College. This fund helps students with disabilities pay for college, and over $7,500 was raised. In 2021 Sweet Sadie’s Difference Makers became an official non-profit.
“We are an organization that is trying to carry on Sarah’s legacy of helping those in need with disabilities”
Robert MacIsaac, President and Founder
Currently they give two $1,500 Scholarships at NSCC and $1,000 to Sarah’s old High School Mass Hospital School. Money raised during events such as their 5k are donated to research to organizations such as the Angel Fund and MDA of Massachusettsend that aim to end ALS, MD, and FTD.
