The Food Project launches new Pollinators Program
The Food Project is pleased to now offer an enriching summer day camp program tailored for young people transitioning into 8th grade, offering a unique blend of community engagement and personal development.
From July 1 – 12 in Greater Boston and August 5 – 12 on the North Shore, join The Food Project for an immersive educational experience centered around sustainable agriculture, healthy food systems, and social and food justice. Delivered through engaging workshops, hands-on activities, and a backpack farm share. By the program’s end, day camp participants will have gained a deeper understanding of their own identity, acquired invaluable knowledge about agricultural and food production systems, and explored different culinary recipes.
To be eligible for the Pollinators, prospective candidates must:
- Be entering the 8th grade by the end of June 2024.
- Have completed an application with a recommendation before May 3, 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Be available for the entire two week program (see dates below).
Dates
- Greater Boston | 9am-3pm on Monday-Friday from July 1 – 12
- North Shore | 9am-3pm on Monday-Friday from August 5 – 12
Register between now and May 3 to participate. Admission for the day camp is $700. The Food Project hopes you embark with them and The Pollinators on a journey of discovery, growth, and impactful change.
