United Lynn Pride announces events for June 20-24th in Lynn

The City of Lynn celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month with United Lynn Pride 2022, a welcoming series of events taking place from June 20th – June 24th, 2022.

Proud to continue, and build on, past Lynn Pride celebrations, United Lynn Pride is organized by a number of dedicated community members, bringing together organizers who represent many different organizations in the city including: the Lynn Family Forward Resource Center, the Mayor’s Office, Lynn Museum, Creative Collective, Beyond Walls, the Demakes YMCA, Queer Lynn Scene, and many more.

Lynn, Massachusetts is the 8th largest municipality in the state, with a great, and growing, LGBTQIA+ community. The community has long been unrecognized and seeking unity throughout the city.

Following the past few years of isolation and distancing, United Lynn Pride hopes for the community to connect and find space for joy. The United Lynn Pride Team states, they are focused on centering the community, and that they have worked passionately to organize these events as they strive to create a space where the community can celebrate, create long-term connections, and instill the support of the LGBTQIA+ community in Lynn, not just for this week, but for years to come.

The events planned for United Lynn Pride this year are listed below.

• Monday, June 20th | LGBTQ+ Pride Panel & Gallery Reception at the Lynn Museum
• Tuesday June 21st | Lynn City Hall’s Pride Flag Raising Ceremony
• Tuesday June 21st | St Stephen’s Pride, Food, & Fellowship Event
• Tuesday June 21st | Rainbow Bridge Lighting beneath the Central Square Commuter Rail
• Wednesday, June 22nd | Pride Paint Night at G.A.L.A
• Thursday, June 23rd | Pride Zumbathon, at the Demakes Family YMCA
• Friday, June 24th | Youth Pride Event, at Frederick Douglass Memorial Park
• Friday June 24th | Evening Social Event: Stratosphere, at Uncommon Feasts

United Lynn Pride is organized by a small group of dedicated community members, artists, advocates, allies, leaders, and organizations. Join us in centering LGBTQIA+ voices of the Lynn, MA community. The Lynn Pride week of events will run June 20-24, 2022 and include past events like our annual Flag Raising & Bridge lighting to new ones like panel discussions, art classes, dance, music, and more.
