Essex Street Reconstruction Project Public Info Session | December 7, 2023

On December 7, 2023 the city of Lynn held a public information session regarding the upcoming reconstruction project on Essex Street. The City of Lynn Planning Department along with the project’s designers and engineers went over the project’s scope, design objectives, funding, and timeline for construction. Essex Street, from Joyce Avenue to Eastern Avenue, has been funded for a $20 million dollar reconstruction through the State Transportation Improvement Program. Construction will begin in 2025 and include improvements to the roadway, sidewalks, crosswalks, drainage, signs, pavement markings, and overall design.
