LCTV Lowdown | 2nd Annual Floating Paper Lantern Festival on August 22, 2026

The 2nd Annual Floating Paper Lantern Festival is the focus on this episode of the Lynn Lowdown. We invited on Sunil Gulab & Sandra Corneau from the Goldfish Pond Association and Johnson Mao from Kakrona Center to discuss this event, returning after a very successful first year. The festival will take place at Goldfish Pond on Lafayette Park from 4-10pm on Saturday, August 22nd. This year these two organizations are teaming up to provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about the significance of these paper lanterns before setting them onto the pond at sunset. There will also be plenty of activities for the family before lanterns are set onto the pond, with games and music planned for all the enjoy.
