LCTV News | 2025 Homeless Persons Memorial Day | December 21, 2025
On a chilly December 21st evening My Brother’s Table hosted a Homeless Persons Day Memorial in honor of those who had passed away due to lack of housing. During the candlelit vigil, two Lynners spoke about their experiences being homeless. This was followed by a proclamation from Mayor Nicholson and a moment of silence for all those lost.
“National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day takes place each year on the longest night of the year, the winter solstice (usually December 21st). The first Annual Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day was commemorated in 1990.”
