LCTV News | A Look Inside High Rock Tower (December 9, 2022)
High Rock Tower Observatory sits high above Lynn, and is one of the few public observatories in the country. The observatory features a 12-inch Meade telescope (repaired and refurbed in 2022) that offers views of the moons, Jupiter, Saturn, distant galaxies, and many other celestial bodies. Volunteer astronomer Dr. Josh Judkins gave us a tour of the observatory, talking at length about the telescope and how it works. The public is invited up throughout the year to use the telescope and explore the night sky, which draws visitors from far and wide.
