LCTV News Interview | 2025 Frederick Douglass Speech Reading on July 3, 2025
The Frederick Douglass Speech reading was the focus on the second Lynn Lowdown this week. Planning Member of the North Shore Juneteenth Association Wendy Joseph talked about this beloved annual event. Community members are invited to read a selection of Frederick Douglass’ speech “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?”, as well as enjoying some activities and resources on hand. Before this reading a new way finding sign will be unveiled in a ceremony. This event will take place at Frederick Douglass Park in Central Square 11am on Thursday, July 3rd.
