On this week’s double edition of the Lynn Lowdown we welcomed on the Lynn Parking Dept. for summer updates and info as well as United Lynn Pride to discuss their recent award for preserving LGBTQ+ history.
On the first Lowdown The Lynn Parking Department were our guests. Parking Director Jessica Chiappini stopped by to provide some summer updates and information. She discussed the issues with parking on sidewalks, infrastructure updates, and more.

United Lynn Pride were our guests on the second Lowdown this week, to talk about the award for their exhibit “Through a Rainbow Lens: A Reflection on Lynn’s LGBTQ+ History”. Jim Moser is the Project Director of this exhibit, which was awarded the Albert B. Corey Award – the “most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation of state and local history” from AASLH. The project team conducted 32 video-recorded oral histories with key members of Lynn’s LGBTQ+ community over the last 50 years, documenting joys, successes, challenges, and hardships experienced by Lynn’s gay, lesbian, transgender, and queer community.
