LCTV News | June 14, 2024 – Full broadcast

This week on LCTV News we cover some of the big headlines of the past week including the FY25 city budget being approved, purchase of the Eastern Bank building by the City, former Lynn mayor Cassidy passing away, and more big news from this past week. We also show recaps of the Juneteenth flag raising, Khmer Identity Presentation, rowboat launch, and and more from over the last week.

On the Lynn Lowdown we featured 2 mini interviews with the North Shore Juneteenth Association, about then upcoming Juneteenth Celebration and Frederick Douglass Speech Reading. The annual Juneteenth Celebration will be happening on Saturday, June 22 from 11am-3pm at the Frederick Douglass Park/Lynn Museum. This celebration will feature activities for kids, performances, speeches, and more for the community to enjoy while celebrating the Juneteenth holiday.
NSJA will also be hosting the annual Frederick Douglass Speech Reading on July 3rd at 11am at the Frederick Douglass Park in Central Square. A 45-minute version of the speech will be read, with community members reading sections, along with performance, vendors, and more.

For more information on either event please visit nsjuneteenth.com, call 781-315-2077, or email info@nsjuneteenth.com.
