2026 Preliminary Election Results – How did Lynn vote?
On Tuesday, September 1st the City of Lynn held its Primary Elections, ahead of the Final Election on November 3rd. This year voters were asked to vote for candidates running for several state-wide officers – but the ones most affecting Lynn are the races for State Representative of the 9th Essex District and Congressperson for the 6th Congressional District.
The race for State Rep. features Democrats Dr. Peter Meaney & Zosia VanMeter going up against long-time incumbent Republican Donald Wong. In the Preliminary, only one of the Democratic challengers will advance.
In the race for Congress the Democratic side is crowded with Beth Andres-Beck, John Beccia, Jamie Belsito, Dan Koh, Dr. Mariah Lancaster, & Tram Nguyen all on the ballot for the Democrats in a free-for-all top replace current Incumbent Seth Moulton (currently running for US Senate). This race will also only see one of the Democrats going on to face the lone Republican Micah Jones in November.
