5th Annual Lynn Pride Gallery Show Seeking Art

The Lynn Museum & Arts Center and United Lynn Pride are seeking paintings, photographs, poetry, prints, sculptures, and other visual artworks to celebrate Lynn’s LGBTQIA+ community! The fifth annual Lynn PRIDE art show will take place in the second-floor community gallery space of the Museum building from June 25 through October 31, 2025. 

The opening reception will take place on Wednesday, June 25th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. 

LGBTQIA+ identifying artists from the Lynn community or with ties to the Lynn community are encouraged to submit between one and three artworks for consideration for the exhibition.

Eligibility: 

• Artists from the North Shore, Greater Boston, and beyond are welcome to apply, but Lynn artists (living, working, or practicing in Lynn) are preferred.
• Individuals must identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
• Artwork should not exceed 4’ x 4’ and must be 50 lbs or less.

Entry Requirements:

1. Artist resume, including biography and exhibition record (if possible)
2. Images of artworks to be considered (jpg, png preferred)
3. Artist statement, including a description of the artwork(s) and materials used, as well as an image of the artist

Artists should email entry materials to director@lynnmuseum.org.

Online Submissions Due:

Friday, June 13th at 11:59 pm

Selection Process:

Entries will be reviewed by a handful of judges representing Lynn Museum & Arts Center and United Lynn Pride. Artists will receive an email or phone call regarding their submission by Monday, June 16th, at 5 p.m.

Accepted Artwork:

Lynn Museum & Arts Center staff will be responsible for setting up work for the exhibition. 2D works should be framed, finished, and ready to hang gallery-style with wire. Some easels are available for use. To discuss sculptural pieces, email director@lynnmuseum.org.

• Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10 am – 2 pm

Artwork Pick Up: 

• Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 3 pm – 7 pm
• Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10 am – 5 pm
• Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10 am – 5 pm
• Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 am – 2 pm

Publicity:

The exhibit will be featured on the “Exhibitions” page of the Lynn Museum & Arts Center website, and additional promotional posts will be made on the Lynn Museum & Arts Center’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Sales:

Accepted artworks can be purchased exclusively through the artist. The Lynn Museum & Arts Center will not be responsible for monetary transactions between the artist and the buyer. Any interested parties in buying artwork(s) will receive the appropriate contact information for the artist(s).
